The Honest Tea Company is trying a new social experiment: Honest Cities. The company ventures to different cities across America and calculates an honesty percentage. How do they do it? Well, visitors choose to either pay $1 for a bottle of their tea, or not. For each city, Honest Tea visually tracks who does and doesn't pay for their bottle of tea. Then, they take the total number of money collected for the day and divide it by the total number of bottles "sold." This creates the city's honesty percentage. Later on, visitors can visit the website and participate as part of the online community and decide again whether or not to pay for the tea. Check out the list of cities who have participated so far. Do you see any surprises? Do you think this a pretty sweet experiment?
